The GoMission Institute is an integral missionary training program designed for enabling workers to hit the ground running with confidence. With the direct assistance of leaders from Christar, New Tribes Mission, Worldview Resource Group and the Summer Institute for Linguistics, we have designed a unique and dynamic approach to preparing workers for the harvest.
Some subjects we cover are:
• Church Planting
• Language and Culture Acquisition
• Tent-making and Business Training
• Character Development
• Worldviews
• Team Dynamics
• Hostage Situations
• Crisis Contingency Planning
• Basic First Aid
• Internet Security
In all five tracks we incorporate the principles of knowing, being and doing by integrating classroom teaching with mentor-led, hands-on practice. Modules can be taken independently, or, if taken all together students will fulfill requirements for completing the one-year GoMission Institute.
Description of Tracks
Biblical Entrepreneurship
The Practices of Biblical Entrepreneurship Course (BE II) provides a strong mix of core business concepts and biblical principles. It is an 18-36 hour course designed to assist students in developing an understanding of practical business principles as they relate to the Word of God.
Biblical Entrepreneurship III (BE III) is the third and final course in the Biblical Entrepreneurship Certificate Program. It is a 36-72 hour course that challenges and guides students to produce a blueprint for their kingdom business. The course uses online software (developed by M3 Planning Inc.) to assist students in developing a comprehensive strategy as well as software (developed by Agile Northwest) to assist students in developing an operational plan. Students also develop and defend a summary business plan before a panel of judges. Those who successfully complete this course receive the Biblical Entrepreneurship Certificate.
Course will be offered in the fall of 2012.

Principles for Biblical Entrepreneurship (BEI) is the first of a three part curriculum designed to teach how to use the Word of God as a guide to exercising stewardship over His resources and to serve others while leading them to Jesus Christ. It is a 15-30 hour course that provides the foundation for Biblical Entrepreneurship.
In this three-week module, learners will get an introduction to concepts, principles and skills that will prepare them to learn a second language and culture for ministry. The first week is an exploration of their own culture and language, during which we also introduce some basic features of language and culture and ways in which languages and cultures differ. The last two weeks include practical, hands-on practice with phonetics, language and culture learning techniques and activities, applied to beginning to learn a new language.
Learners will try out the new techniques by working with speakers of another language. We will also introduce principles of second language acquisition and there will also be practice in planning lessons, self-evaluation, and ongoing language and culture learning, with an emphasis on developing cross-cultural communicative competence.
